Deepika Padukone’s Bollywood Remake Of The Intern To Be Helmed By Badhai Ho Director Amit Sharma; Movie Was Supposed To Star Late Actor Rishi Kapoor
Deepika Padukone is continuously shooting for her upcoming films in full swing.  As per reports in Pinkvilla now Dippy’s much awaited film has finally got its captain, here we mean to say its director. Hollywood movie The Intern which will soon have its Bollywood remake for the audience has welcomed director Amit Sharma on board. The decision was taken by the film team after thinking of many names from the industry as he suited the bill. The director will begin filming for the movie after he wraps up Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan.

Makers had roped in Rishi Kapoor to play a pivotal part in this Deepika Padukone starrer, but due to this sad demise, they are yet to finalise an actor to play his part. The source said, “They were contemplating on multiple names, but finally, zeroed in on Amit Sharma as the director. Sharma in the past has helmed Badhai Ho and is currently on the verge of completing the Ajay Devgn fronted sport biopic, Maidaan. The team of The Intern unanimously felt that Amit is the best choice for the film and the director too is in sync with the vision to bring the classic to India.”

The source further added, “In-fact, he has already prepared a draft for his adaptation and will develop it further once Maidaan is wrapped up in a fortnight.”

Bollywood remake of The Intern will go floors in November after Deepika Padukone wraps up the rest of her work commitments. Meanwhile, Amit Sharma will also wrap up Maidaan in October. The team is in the midst of finalizing the rest of the cast and makers are expected to make an announcement in summers.  ALSO READ: Alia Bhatt Birthday: Karan Johar Hosts A House Party For Alia, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Malaika Arora And Arjun Kapoor Grace The Evening
